Am I responsible for credit cards in my husbands name only? We are separated and will be getting div

He wants to come over and do a transfer to a O interest rate offer within the same company, but says he has to do from the same home phone number that he initiated the card at...our home phone number. Will this make me responsible for that bill even though the phone is in both are names?

Am I responsible for credit cards in my husbands name only? We are separated and will be getting divorced.?credit check

No, you just tell them when the enquiry is made that your husband used your phone when he called

Am I responsible for credit cards in my husbands name only? We are separated and will be getting divorced.? loan

nope.. not if your name isnt on it|||i wouldnt sign anything id disconnect my phone and go with a cell phone...|||No signature, no authorization=no responsibility.|||if your husband cannot pay the bills they will then by default become your responsibility. If he has moved out he needs to register his new details thats all. I dont believe that he would be required to use the same number, if he%26#039;s moved out, then its not his anymore. Check it out a bit more.|||Depends on the state you live in(whether or not it is a community property state), how long you have been married, how much of the stuff purchased via credit cards you want....|||No, but put an ad in your local newspaper. %26quot;I will only be responsible for debts incurred by me. (state your full name)%26quot;|||You and your husband are responsible for all bills acquired during your marriage. Both of you.|||That sounds REALLY fishy to me. Why don%26#039;t you call the credit card company first and ask them? That makes absolutely no sense at all. What does the phone number have to do with anything? What does that prove? What if a cardholder moved (and they often do) since getting their card? My DH and I have had a couple of credit cards for over 10 years! Are people not supposed to move or change their phone numbers in the entire time they have their credit cards?

Personally, I think he%26#039;s got something else up his sleeve and he either wants your phone number attached to it or he wants to get into your house for some reason.|||No, you will not be responsible for his debt if it is only in his name. They are probably asking him to call from the home phone number in order to verify that it is him, and the transfer is authorized.
