Does anyone recommend an "All Access" Visa Prepaid card?

This offer for a prepaid visa card looks good, but what do all of you at answers.yahoo.com think?

No credit check, only $10 to apply, FDIC insured, and listed with the better biz bureau.

Any advice on this prepaid card?

Your bank already does the same thing for no charge. It is called a debit/check card.

Here is what you are doing. You will pay $10 to load this Visa All Access card with money from your checking or savings account.

For what? So Visa All Access can earn interest on your money instead of you?

Bad idea.

OK: Everything costs money. There is either a monthly fee of $9.95 and then some daily costs. Or, no monthly fee, and costs everytime you use the card for transactions/atm/etc. Also, don%26#039;t be fooled, if you spend more money than what is available on the card, you are charged and %26quot;over the limit%26quot; fee of anywhere from $25-$39 depending on the card. It is best just to open a free checking account at your local bank. Find one that has online access, where you can check your balance at any given day. Get a debit card with the Visa logo. You can use it like a credit card for Plane tickets, etc.

A lot of banks will notify you on your cell phone, once you have reached a daily spending limit... if you request.

Good luck, and always read the fine print. Every company is out to make their money. Nothing is free anymore.

Hope this helps!
