Can someone out there tell me what business to business sales is like ?

I am interested in getting into business to business sales offering small businesses credit card processing and other related services to help them save money and become more profitable . Can someone out there tell me what the response will be like going door to door and attempting a one call close on the first visit. Will the owners be receptive to my offer ?

next time you are outside at a park or eating lunch try talking with some one and carry on a conversation for as long as possible, about anything.

if you can engage the person along with make them laugh, cry or what ever you are trying to get across to them then you got the first part.

the next thing is product knowledge. if your customer knows more then you, then your done. you will get a lot of bumps but the best way to learn a product is to go talk with people who are using other products, then fill the void.

next is know what who competition is, and how to beat them. again, on the job training is the best way to do this

and last and most important is ABC. Always Be Closing. if you can talk but not close dont do sales. closing is something that some people can learn. there are many ways, but at the end of the day you never want to have the customer think you need them...... THEY MUST NEED YOU.

per month from this. try it out and tell me if you like it

Most people are not receptive to that kind of business. I would doubt you can close most deals on first call, especially is you silicate the sale. Its going to be a tough job.
