If you have no credit, then getting financing will be difficult, especially during this recession period. Lenders are being extremely picky. Start out by getting a credit card by going to visa.com, mastercard.com or discover.com and applying for a card. Just get one!! Make small purchases monthly and pay it off as soon as you get the bill. This will help build credit. Also, getting a utility bill in your name helps. After you build up some credit, then try for financing.

Tons of places offer interest free financing for various amounts of time. For example, you can catch deals at Circuit City for up to 18 months with no interest and sometimes no payments too...but be careful...no interest just means no interest during the specified time period. During the interest free period, interest is actually calculated (and will appear on your statement) but is just not %26quot;billed%26quot; to you. If you don%26#039;t pay the balance in full by the end of the interest free time period, all the accumulated interest from day 1 is tacked onto your balance. So its not really %26quot;interest free%26quot;- its more like %26quot;interest deferred%26quot;- unless of course you pay off the balance in full before the interest free period runs out.

Also, you can get these types of financing deals online as well. One I use is BillMeLater. Check out their site for details- but the normal deal is for purchases over a certain amount, you get no interest and possibly no payments for 6 months or 12 months, depending on the place (site) you are buying from.

There are tons of options out there- just be sure to pay it off before the time is up or like I said earlier- all that interest gets tacked on and you end up paying it anyway.

One more thing- it is usually easier to get approved with limited credit history through non-credit card companies- like BillMeLater or store credit accounts (i.e. a CircuitCity or BestBuy account)- rather than getting a traditional Visa, MC, Discover, Amex....the trade off is usually the interest rate. But- with interest free financing plans and paying off the balance as discussed above, its a non-issue.
