Which fees can I avoid paying when renting a car?

I rented a car and didn%26#039;t accept the insurance the renter offered (because I used my credit card that will cover an accident) and I was hit on the passenger door. I called the car rental company to report the accident and they said they will charge me a deductable (which is rediculous - I didn%26#039;t accept their insurance). I reported the accident to the credit card company, too. When I told them the car rental company wanted to collect a deductable the woman for the insurance with the credit card company said, %26#039;they always try to do that.%26#039; If they are trying to collect 500 dollars because they want to try collect unnecessary fees I got to wondering, %26#039;what else can I expect them to try to charge me that I don%26#039;t have to pay?%26#039;

Tell the rental company to pound sand. Let your insurance company or the insurance of the guy who hit you deal with them, and file with your credit card%26#039;s reimbursement program for what ins. doesn%26#039;t cover.

Do you own a car yourself and have car insurance on it?

B/C your personal car ins will roll over to a rental car. Talk to you agent about it.

I have heard about c/c collecting a fee and that is normal. Some c/c offers insurance (when you apply they claim that) but you need to read the fine prints.
