Scam or not?...I recieved an email offer for a free roundtrip SouthWest Airline ticket voucher.?

I half thought it may be a %26quot;message from God%26quot; (ha??well..I was praying for a way to get to CA to see my mom, who had a stroke %26amp; the email was dated 1/18, same day I found out about her stroke).

I%26#039;m a skeptical person, but when I was looking for an answer, there was the %26quot;free ticket%26quot; offer.. so..? But I%26#039;m not stupid either %26amp; I know nothing is free. I did open it, %26amp; the deal: you agree to try a certain number of 7-day trial offers from advertisers %26amp; give a credit card #, %26amp; they send the airline voucher. The offers seemed okay, like Blockbuster online, Netflicks, Mary Kay,etc. I didn%26#039;t follow through (did NOT give a cc #). On the other hand, I want to see my mom SO bad, %26amp; sometimes answers to prayers come in different ways than we might expect.

It stayed at the top of subsequent emails %26amp; I noted the date 1/18/..2038 (email dates can be altered by changing the date on the computer). I checked to see if its a scam %26amp; couldn%26#039;t find it was, but still..I%26#039;m hesitant.

When you receive an e-mail from a company, DO NOT PUSH REPLY to answer it.

Copy the e-mail, and send it to the actual contact location you find on their official website, or call the company directly.

Do not use the contact information in the e-mail, but use a contact number or address that you, yourself have verified from a trusted outside source.

Scam e-mails contain false information in their text, so they sound like the %26quot;real%26quot; location. That is why you verify the info using a trusted source. To find out more about scams, see the link below.

scam.the hotel prices and all that will rip you off.|||If it sounds too good to the true, it probably is.|||Free roundtrip...

...give a credit card #

Stare at the screen... what do you see here? FOCUS. STARE AT THE SCREEN.

DELETE EMAIL.|||its a scam but the good news is there r plenty of cheap ways to get to ca you can always buy miles through a airline or get a deal at the last minute|||It%26#039;s a scam, it is for you to complete a bunch of offers. I get those emails all the time.|||Total scam...there are a bunch of product scam emails out right now. Try www.snopes.com to research more.|||if anyone asks you for personal information (like your CREDIT CARD NUMBER) and you did not contact them....the offer is most likely too good to be true.|||Sorry girlie but that%26#039;s a scam. If you still can%26#039;t decide based on the Y!A responses you received, call Southwest directly and confirm it through them.|||I would certainly delete the Email. No matter how good it looks, chances are that its a scam. And even if it wasn%26#039;t (And trust me, there are probably few that aren%26#039;t scams), you wouldn%26#039;t really take the risk of them taking your money.

I%26#039;d have to say no. It probably IS too good to be true.|||I wish it was true for you sweeitie..but I am afraid it is a scam.

It sounds to good to be true,so it probably isn%26#039;t..sorry..?
