I live in California and was offered a job at a credit card company in Arizona after having 2 phone interviews. I was even offered more compensation than what was stated on the application. My biggest concern is that the I have a felony for domestic violence which is 5 years old. The company is currently doing a background check. What do you think about this? Also on the application online, it asked if I had a felony but stated that if it%26#039;s in California then disregard. So the background check that they are doing caught me off guard. I have nothing else on my record. And again, this felony was early 2003. What should I expect. Thanks.

It reall ydepends on which company does the check some go back ten years some only a few. For me I had an arrest years ago loke 12 that didnt even show up on the Department of Defense background check

Go for it anyways. Tell them the felony was like a phase or something and that it hasn%26#039;t happened to you since that day.|||tell them you have one they will find out by yourssnumber|||You should seek legal advice, not that if they do bring up your felony you would get charged for anything. If better to be safe then sorry.|||I wouldn%26#039;t worry about it because it was in california and 5 years ago!!!!!!!! just relax I don%26#039;t think it will matter that much
