If I have a FICO score of 664, and all my accounts are in good standing, can I trade my truck in for

According to my credit report, all my accounts are positive, none are in collections. I want to trade my Colorado truck for a Silverado truck. I currently owe about $13K on my truck, but the dealer said that would give me $10.5K for it, leaving the difference of $2,500. I understand that this would be tacked on to the Silverado loan. The only bad part of my credit report is that my two major credit cards are both currently over the limit. Would most car dealers still offer me credit towards a newer bigger truck, with the way my credit cards are right now? I pay everything on time every month, but is that enough to overcome overlimit credit cards?

i vote against getting the truck till fall -- by them hopefully the extra truck payments will get the value of the truck about the loan amount and you will have 5 more months of credit debt reduces!!! remember you will be getting 6 hundred to put toward debt reduction!!!

I would forgo getting a new truck until you have the loan amount versus value of truck in favor of truck value. This should also give you time to pay off or get your credit cards below the maximum limit.

Finally, if you are not using to truck for work than I would suggest that you go with a fuel efficient car.
