A lady called me saying I was a final contestant for a million dollar drawing from using my visa credit card and that along with that, there were other offers such as a diamond watch and magazine subscription orders. She said I only had to pay for two subscriptions for a 4 year period. I%26#039;d given her my credit card info already when they called me back later and told me the price I was to pay. Over 40.00 a month for 16 months for 4 magazine subscriptions. That%26#039;s ridiculous so I told them I wanted to cancel the order and they refused me. They said they can make the payment shorter in amount but longer in time, but no cancellation can be made so I accepted. I was confused cause he was talking so fast. Then I went to look up the site and there were complaints all over. I tried to call and complain for refusing to cancel my order but no one picked up. So I cancelled my credit card and asked for a new one. What else do I need to do? I%26#039;m scared now of what i got myself into.
United states magazine service - scam DO NOT TRUST!?
Never give out your credit card numbers over the phone, unless you really know who you are dealing with. If an offer sounds too good to be true, then, it probably is.
There are all kinds of telemarketing scams around these days. You should always be careful when dealing with these unsolicited phone calls. I have a caller display at home. I never answer any out of area or 800 numbers.
Call the credit card company and make sure they cancel those transactions. Legally, you have a few days cooling off period.

Yeah, its a scam. Look:

They kidnap runaway kids and promise them all sorts of stuff for going door to door and then the kids only get like $20 a day for food and they get abused and the people at the top live in Mansions and drive Ferarris.
Meanwhile, the phone people and the door-to-door people get beaten and deprived of food money if they fail to sell a certain number of %26quot;subscriptions%26quot; per day.
Couple of articles for you below. Contact your credit card company and make sure those transactions get cancelled.|||They cannot do anything to you; enjoy your magazines if the dumbasses want to continue sending them to you.
Honey, as the old saying goes, %26quot;if it sounds to good to be true, it not%26quot;
Do not worry yourself, if you get a bill from them, just put return to sender, they will get the hint.
